Today was much less hectic than yesterday. It was also very productive in many ways. It pays to not be able to sit for very long!
5:30am: Fitbit alarm goes off and I cannot believe how fast the night went by.
5:40am: iPhone alarm goes off and I remember that this morning I will be running with my neighbor friend. I roll out of bed, grab a drink of water, and do my morning pre-run routine.
6:10-7:00am: 5 mile run, a regular route. It was cold starting out, but I was sweating by the end of the run.
7:00am: morning rush. Breakfast of a quick bowl of puffed Kamut and milk this morning. Making lunches, oatmeal, and cereal for everyone else.
8:00am: pre-shower ab workout. 15 in and outs, 35 crunches.
10:30am: take little guy to soccer practice. It’s a mom and me class. For 1/2 an hour I run around the soccer field with 3 year olds. That’s good exercise. After practice we stay at the park and I chase little guy around and push him in the swing. My arms were getting tired after the swing pushing.
12:00pm: arrive home to make lunch for little guy and myself. I have leftover soup from last night. (See previous post) I also couldn’t pass up some delicious honey wheat pretzel sticks from Trader Joe’s. Those are dangerous.
12:30-3:00pm: clean, clean, clean. My house was neglected. Vacuuming and many trips to the garbage added up steps for my daily total. (My goal is 10,000)
3:00pm: kids come home from school. get after school snacks together for them. I have a plain rice cake because I can’t break to clean! (Still need to prep those veggies!)
5:00pm: prep dinner. Make homemade pesto sauce, cook chicken and pasta. Steam carrots and sprinkle with dill. 3 sets of 15 squats in between different tasks to feel my heart rate elevate a bit.
6:15pm: dinner on the table. I run out the door to an appointment and a couple errands.
7:30PM: eat a carrot, some leftover Shephard’s Pie, and a pickle slice. Random.
Before bed I will do a 1 minute plank and 35 more crunches because they are fast. I will be asleep by 10:30pm and up and at ’em again before the sun rises.
